Inklings' Books & Coffee is located right in the heart of Downtown Blue Springs. Our Blue Springs Downtown Alive! Group, Blue Springs Parks & Rec, and Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce host a variety of great events throughout the year. We have a great community, with great neighbors. Second Saturdays April-October

4pm - 8pm


Bring the family out to view the latest innovations in car restoration from over 100 exhibitors including hot rods, vintage cars, sports cars & classics.  And join us at 11th & Main Street as Artists, Makers & Crafters display their items for sale ! Concession available & the downtown establishments are open!  Join the fun!!




VFW Memorial Day Parade

May 27th. 9am to 11am

The VFW hosts a parade that begins at 9am on Main Street and marches to the Blue Springs Cemetery.  Everyone is welcome to join in to honor our Veterans!



KC Brew & Chew

May 4th. 2pm - 10pm

Join us for the Second Annual Brew & Chew Event held in Downtown Blue Springs!  There will be food trucks, local breweries offering samples and live music!  Don't miss it!


Midwest Ford Fest

June 22nd. 8am to 3pm

Join us for the Midwest Ford Fest held on June 30th along Main Street.  Registration opens at 8:00 am with awards presented around 2:30 pm.  There will be tours of Terry Murphy Race Cars during the day in addition to music, 50/50 drawing and random drawings for door prizes.  This is a family friendly event with a special “Kids Korner”.  Proceeds go to The Rainbow Center in Blue Springs and The Joshua Center in Kansas City.


Corks & Canvas Art & Wine Walk

June 22nd. 11am to 7pm


Join us for our seventh annual Corks & Canvas Art and Wine Walk in the historic downtown district of Blue Springs.  Artists and makers will be displaying their art during this event, and wineries and spirit makers will be offering samples of their products.  Purchases of bottles are also available.

Blue Springs Fall Fun Festival

September 13 - 15

Since 1969, the festival features 500 booths filled with 250 exhibitors displaying and selling arts and crafts, food, games, childrens activities, carnival, beer garden, 2 stages of live entertainment and parade. Parade held Saturday morning at 10am.


National Night Out

October 1st. 5:30pm to 8pm

The Blue Springs Police Department invite you and your family to join them on Tuesday, October 1 from 5:30-8 p.m. in Downtown Blue Springs for the annual National Night Out Against Crime event!


National Night Out is an annual event which takes place in communities all across America.
Our National Night Out is celebrated on the first Tuesday in October.  The event is designed
to raise community awareness and inform citizens on ways we can all work together to fight
crime in our community.

This FREE event will educate children and adults about crime prevention, general public
safety and the danger of drugs. Scheduled entertainment includes FREE food, game
booth and live performances.
